How to make Cheese Slider:

  • Prepare the Onions: Soak 1/2 cup of dried minced onions in water and a splash of beef stock for at least 30 minutes until fully rehydrated.
  • Form the Meat: Spread ground beef into a very thin rectangle on parchment paper. Cut into 2-inch squares and poke 5 small holes in each (like a die) to allow steam to pass through.
  • The Steam-Grill: Spread the rehydrated onions onto a hot griddle. Place the thin beef patties directly on top of the onions—do not flip the meat.
  • Steam the Bun: Place the bottom bun directly on the raw patty and the top bun on top of that. The steam from the onions will cook the meat and soften the bun simultaneously.
